Taped (Shut-Up)

This is an illustration I did to make myself feel as if I could quite down my enviroment at the time. People were just talking and asking dumb questions, so I just went ahead and drew this right on the spot. It took me a couple of minutes and after I was done I wanted to make a t-shirt out of it and replace the word TAPED with SHUTUP...

Maybe I can talk the president into wearing one of these for all of his speeches.

This is done with pencil and scanned at a dark setting. I wanted to pick up the paper texture and the detail of the pencil.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Three days late to say so but for those that read this for the first time it still means the same. This year I plan to really focus on the creative side of my designs. Layouts are great, I have tons of them gridded out - but I just want to explore the side that just lets the hand do the talking. I will launch my new website this year with mostly all of my creative work. Sure I will have professional work, to show how diverse I can be, but its focus will be my creative mind. I have been influenced by the world events to post a number of socially driven illustrations, look to the website once it is launched to see my work - Art Without Words!

Kool Kat

I did this outline sometime ago and I finally got around to coloring it...I just went with what my mind saw and I think it came out great! This was drawn in pencil then finalized with a pen. After scanning it in I colored it using PhotoShopCS2 and my pen mouse! Oh, and my wife took part in color choices.

Illy

This is the first illustration I did as a graphic designer, so it only felt right to call it Illy. This image came from a photograph in which I used the pen tool and pencil tool to illustrate all of her features. If you look into her eyes, you can see the dispare - I believe I captured that as I wanted to.

Illustration of Model

I designed this illustration for a brother of mine. This was just his way of testing me, to see what I can do with the illustration program Illustrator CS2. I believe he was impressed.

My brother will probably be around more often for me to illustrate his models. I look forward to doing this and many more.

This was also submitted as a class project in class, the only thing different from this illustration and the one I submitted, is that the one I submitted has a background. I felt it wasn't necessary to post the one with the background.

This image took me 6 hours to do. It is a group of simple shapes in combination with the mesh tool. I like the mesh tool but I am beginning to feel as if it would have just been easier to place the solid colors onto the illustration and move the file into Photoshop CS2 and do the shadings. It came out nice. I hope to get some comments on this!

Lost and Found

OK...I have had this problem with logging in. I created this blog earlier this month, and today I finally realized how to log back in. I didn't know I had to use my e-mail address to log in. I had been using the name of the blog "EricDesignHouse" and password. Well anyways, I will try to put up some of my work, now that I know how to log in...

Blog Launch

Today, December 11th 2006, I have launched my blog. With the advice of one of my school instructors, I feel that this will be the best place to view my art work. I hope this to become a world of design that all can enjoy.
